Finally [12 Jun 2006|06:05pm]

Hey guys. I don't know if any of you remember the book project I was trying to start that took a long hiatus. Well, I'm getting my ass in gear and am serious about getting it in the works. ANYWAY. If you forget what it's about and things involved, please check out dregsofsouls for a refresher. Here is a reminder of what the basis is about. If you'd like to resign up, confirm your activity, change addresses and what not, please inform me so. The email address is still the.lj.project@gmail.com

THis is x-posted everywhere.

I'm going to have to redo the mailing list and what not. Please send your home or PO box mailing address to the.lj.project@gmail.com

The first two books will be mailed out June 23rd! PLEASE SIGN UP BY THEN!

I'm so sorry for the four month slow in the process.

Changing Journals [10 Apr 2006|05:57pm]
Hey folks, I am changing journals. For those of you who care, and want to add my new journal, it's black_messenger.
Everyone's daze is on.

Ta Da [06 Feb 2006|11:51pm]

It took me a while, but I finally got the mailing lists out. Step one is complete. I'm in the process of getting a PO box, so until then, I've given out my home address to a few of you. I will make an announcement with the po box and what not as soon as I get one.

I've had a few questions on how the mailing list is to work.

blah blah blah
address one

blah blah blah
address two

If you get a notebook from address 1, you have one week to send it to address two.

If you get a notebook from address 2, you have one week to send it to address one.

Simple enough, right? I aim to please! Ha!

There were a few other things I wanted to mention/say, but I kind of lost my train of thought.

*grumble* [02 Feb 2006|12:24am]

Okay, I have no freaking clue what happened, but I tried doing a mass email, and one of the addresses are screwed up, and it won't let me send it.

Can each of you send an email to The.LJ.Project@gmail.com

As a subject, tell me what you're signed up as. Postal or Online. It would be a massive help.

*grumble grumble*

But anyhow. The notebooks are packed, along with the notebook that had the addresses in it. So, Saturday when I get unpacked and situated, I'll sit down and organize the addresses and email your buddy list.

*sigh* Gmail kicked my ass this time.

[27 Jan 2006|10:22pm]

I was looking around a Passions message board I just joined and I saw the following thread called "These people deserve to die." So I of course looked to see what it was about, figuring it was something about a new attack or something in the war, however it was the following.

An old Catholic priest in Italy has been convicted for saying that Jesus exists.

My God. What is happening with the world? It's in a dire need of a RELIGIOUS Hitler-like person to exterminate all those damn non believers who want to hurt these who do.

With the following reply.

We already have a mass number of Anti Religious Hitlers. Can't see the danger in having ONE anti-anti religion Hitlers.

Oh...but we do have someone like that. His name is God, and he is over all . But yep, this world is going straight to hell, thanks to liberalism and anti traditionalism and hate for Christianity and the belief in God. It's going to hell because of political correctness. Everything. But there's good in all this--it causes Christians to rise and fight for what they belief in, which in turn causes lukewarm Christians to stand up and take notice--and develop stronger faith in God.

This is where all of my love for George Bush and the Republican/conservative party stems from...the fact that they fight against this....because without people in power and the people of countries fighting against this crap, America along with Europe and the rest of the world are going to go straight to hell in a hand basket because of bastards like this.

What the hell are these two people on? The first post upsets me greatly because she is suggesting mass genocide against those who don't believe in her god.

Am I the only one offended by this?

Hello all, hope your all still checking the updates :)

When this project first started, I e-mailed David Leonard, senior publicist for the Canadian branch of Raincoast, to hear his personal oppenion on the project. Now, like any busy man, I figured I'd be getting a alredy written reply sent to all that e-mail him, and I thought I'd have to wait several months. But, I got a reply, and I thought I'd share it :)

Pretty spiffy, eh?

Much love,

Its been a while since I've updated our progress. I haven't really had a chance to get around to sending out notebooks and lists and such. To be entirely honest, I've become a bit overwhelmed with what it all entails. Anyhow.

Just so you all know, I have 13 mailing adresses, and Six email addresses. Not what I had expected, but I suppose it'll leave you all more space to write more candidly. So yay for that.

I will be sending out emails with your mailing buddies.

Now for the badish news. Some things have come up in my life that I have to go MIA for a while. I think. I'm moving back to my dads. He has a PC and internet, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it, because he's a bit anal about things like that. So, I'll still make updates and what not.

It doesn't really effect the project, I just wanted you all to know.

Hopefully, expect the first set of notebooks to be sent out the second week of Feburary. I'm lacking money, so I can't do it anytime soon.

Yay for real life.

With that done, I have all the stuff I need to get started. I just need the questions from Adrian, the rest of the people to sign up for the postal, and what not.

So far we have 12 to receive the notebooks and 6 to submit online. I want to start by the end of the week.

Headaches Are Coming [16 Jan 2006|10:20pm]

[ mood | Fall Out Boy - Calm Before The Storm ]

Does anyone realize how hard it is to get the email addresses of the Editor In Chief of any womens/teen magazine? I've only been able to find Seventeen's Editor, and thats only because of the MTV show. I've tried CosmoGirl!, YM, Teen {which, for some odd reason isn't around anymore. http://www.teen.com, although that particular website may be of some help.} Blah. I'll keep looking for contact information for the editors directly.

Um. It seems as though there aren't any new Additions to the group, which is good, considering there are 25-ish. I know Brittany has made the mailing list post and stuff. I didn't intend for that to be made until later on in the week. BUT since its already been made...

Please comment here with your submission forms.

Edit Part Deux -- I deleted the other entry, so I don't get confused. I already got your info if you posted it there. No worries :)

[ mood | curious ]

Okay, I'm going to try and make a post and make us seem like we are getting organized! Alrighty, as I've heard there are three other people besides myself helping out with organization. So, in order for us to truthfully be organized we definently need to talk. It would help a lot if we all had each others e-mails, and for those of you who have AIM those as well. So to you other three organizers on this post it would be really helpful to leave any contact information you have so we can get this thing started. It would suck if we waited until the last minute and we have piles of stuff to sort through. I say we get a headstart on these things and whatnot.

Alrighty then, thanks for your time :P

More for my own... [16 Jan 2006|04:32am]

This is more for my own reference. I can't sleep right now, because so many ideas are still churning in my head.

Hm. I think I got it all out now. Comments are always welcome. I think I can sleep now.

If anyone has an idea or what not, that you would like to bring to everyone's attention, not just my own, feel free to post directly into the community. I've noticed that the comments in the few posts already made are numerous, and it's a pain on looking through all the comments.

Ok. Good night everyone!

Please Read ♥ [15 Jan 2006|05:02pm]

A few things have been brought up, and I think that they should be addressed to everyone. This is a group project, so everyone has a say.

Hoping to clear a few things up...Collapse )

Sorry for all the reading. Now that I’m done my mini book, any and all questions, further ideas, and comments are welcome. Keep in mind, ideas for topics are to have Topics in the subject line.

You all are free to post concerns and what not in the community. It’ll catch my attention quicker, rather than the comments.

Happy Sunday!

10 Commandments [15 Jan 2006|01:08am]

So far we have 15 people who will be apart of it. I think I'm going to keep the list open for one week. Tell whomever you want, but one week is the limit. Could you imagine? Hundreds of girls wanting to be apart of it? *swoon*

This is how its going to work. Ready?

10Collapse )

Edit -- These are the most basic of guidelines. A few things have been addressed. I do hope you all will be patient and bare with me. This has the potential to be a huge process, with a lot of details.

Anyway, good night, and thanks for the support/enthusiasm.

Idea - Project [14 Jan 2006|10:31pm]

First off, Thank you absolutelyfatal for allowing me to use her community for this project.

I've been reading this book called "Bust," a female empowerment book of sorts. I've been highlighting lines and such of it, because they are something to keep in mind, or so I think anyway. I'm letting Melissa borrow it, and I hope she'd understand why they are highlighted and what not.

Idea - ProjectCollapse )

Beings that I just thought of this like, a half hour ago, the details are very much in the air. Many have shown their interest, and now that I think about it, I think it would have good chances of getting positive feedback.

Right now, I just want to get an idea of how many people would participate, how far the books would travel, things like that.

So... Comment here with your name and location if your iinterested, and would really participate.
